PURPOSE
The Photo Contest is used to select 12 photos for the CWVC's Annual Vizsla Wall Calendar.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to CWVC Members and Newsletter Subscribers only

ENTERING THE PHOTO CONTEST
You may enter up to 4 color photos for each CWVC Membership/Subscriber.
Entry fee is $2.00 per photo.
Your name and address must be on the back of the photo (return address labels work well).
An entry form (below) must be completed and submitted with photo(s).
Mail photos & entry form in an envelope with your name clearly written on the outside and send so they reach the Photo Contest Coordinator BY August 1, 2007.

To expedite my ability to set up for the voting, it will now be REQUIRED to mail entries to me prior to Fun Day.
FACT: In 2005, 36 photos were entered- less than 10 were mailed.
I know how much easier it is to bring them with you!
However, it is very inefficient for me to mount your photos for voting on Fun Day and
it leaves less time for actual Voting.
If there is a legitimate reason you can’t mail ahead:
Email to me the number of pictures you will be bringing, so I can plan for space on the board. 
By 11:30 on Fun Day give me an envelope containing: your photos, your entry form, and entry fee.

PHOTO CONTEST AT THE FUN DAY
VOTING will be held between 1:30pm and 5:00pm, August 5, 2007.
An area will be set up for you to vote for your favorites.
All materials and directions will be provided.

PHOTO RETURN
Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope -OR-
Arrange for them to be picked up by you or a friend -OR-
You may k eep for website photo album

PHOTOGRAPH GUIDELINES 
Remember – these photos are ultimately for use in our printed calendar.
The following rules will provide uniform formatting of the calendar:
Landscape orientation only (wider than taller). 
Maximum photo size: 4x6.
Digital printed on photo quality paper.
No repeat entries of past winning calendar photos.
No professional or copyrighted photos (unless the photographer is the member).
Either the photographer must be a CWVC member OR
the member submitting the photo must own at least one Vizsla in the photograph.
No people in the photos - Vizslas (& possibly other breeds/animals) only.

Tips for photos that reproduce well:
Clear (not fuzzy or low-resolution digital photos)
High contrast (not too dark or light)
Standout subjects, centered or symmetrical
Subjects close to camera
