What is CWVC
Breeder Referral?
CWVC Breeder Referral is a service provided to assist puppy buyers with
finding a Vizsla breeder. To be placed on the list, CWVC members
must sign the "CWVC Breeder
Listing Guidelines"
document. The CWVC does not endorse, recommend
nor guarantee any particular breeder whether on the list or not.
How do I get the CWVC
Breeder Listing?
Contact the Breeder Referral Chair (see above) who can either EMail it
to you or send a paper copy. The list contains names, addresses,
phone numbers and EMail Ids of the CWVC Breeders who have signed the
"CWVC Breeder Listing Guidelines".
Are all breeders on
the list reputable?
The breeders on the CWVC Breeder List sign the "CWVC Breeder
Listing Guidelines"
document to
which they have committed to uphold. The CWVC relies on the ethics
and honesty of individual breeders and adds to the list any member breeder who signs the form. Puppy
buyers should still take steps to ensure the breeder is reputable as
described in "How to Find a Quality Vizsla and Reputable
Breeder". If the CWVC receives negative reports of a breeder
not honoring the signed Breeding Guidelines, there will be an investigation
and the breeder will be removed from the list if the report is found to
be true.
I want to breed my
Vizsla. Can I get a referral for a stud dog or brood bitch?
No. It is the policy of the CWVC to NOT provide referrals for Stud
Dogs/Sires or Brood Bitches/Dams for breeding purposes. The selection of an
appropriate mate depends on the traits and ancestry of each individual
dog and potential mate as described in "Should I Breed My
Vizsla?". The CWVC does not have the resources to spend hours
doing the research that should be done by the owner and/or breeder of the dog.
How do I find a stud dog or
brood bitch on my own?
See the last section of
"Should I Breed My
Vizsla?" for advice.
Where can I find
sample puppy buyer applications, puppy sales contracts and stud contracts?
Sample forms are
available by contacting the Webmaster.
